Written by: Keun H. Maeng

Finding the right company to apply for a credit loan can be a difficult task. With so many options, it is very important for you to choose a company that does not take advantage of your naïve financial knowledge. So how can students who are financially illiterate apply for a credit card? One reliable choice is to apply for a Student Credit Card.

Student Credit Cards are credit cards that are sponsored by the universities where they teamed up with a credit card company. Many universities are offering student credit cards. What’s neat about this option is that your school has done your homework for you. Therefore, you can be sure that you are signing a contract with a legitimate company.

Now that you are immune from any potential fraud you may confront, let’s talk about some of the benefits you receive from signing for a student credit card. There is some sort of a bonus reward program that benefits your school whenever students apply for the student credit card. In addition to the cool school logo on the actual card, students may be offered special discounts on university apparels and special events such as concerts. Even though the student credit card does not offer lower interest rate than any other credit card, it is important for students to pick the right credit card. Lastly and most obviously, owning a student credit card does not mean you can lavishly spend your expenditures.
